GameBrief · General

Denshattack, the Tony Hawk-with-trains 3D platformer from Undercoders, is no longer a June game. The studio confirmed a delay from June 17 to July 15, 2026 across all platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The reason given was additional polish time.
You play as Emi, a delivery driver who gets pulled into the underground world of Denshattackers: people who perform skateboard-style tricks on trains. Ollie, kickflip, and grind through neon Japanese cities and landscapes, fight rival gangs, and take down the Miraidō corporation. Bosses are reimagined Japanese trains.
The visual shorthand is Dreamcast-era Jet Set Radio more than anything recent. The demo that went up ahead of the June 17 date received solid hands-on impressions; the trick system was described as responsive and the style held up.
The one-month delay appears to be a polish pass rather than a feature push. Nothing about the scope or platform list changed in the announcement.
Denshattack was one of two notable indie launches on June 17, alongside Shift At Midnight, the co-op detective horror from solo developer Bun Muen. The original June 17 date made that a strong week for indie players. With Denshattack moved to July 15, the Steam Next Fest window is Shift At Midnight's alone.
Our Steam Next Fest June 2026 demo roundup covers the best playable content available in the meantime. If you're after co-op, the best indie co-op games list has options for the gap.
July 15 is a decent landing spot. The Switch 2 launch window should still be active, which benefits multi-platform releases aiming for that platform's early adopter audience.
