Dave the Diver Hide and Seek: Eka, Saniah, Bima Locations

All three kids hide inside Utara Village, and none of them moves between attempts. Here's the route we'd walk.

VerdictGo right from Bancho Grill for Saniah, back left to Perak's forge for Bima, then up to the chief's house for Eka. Find all three on the same day, or the quest fails and starts over.

Dave the Diver hide and seek has three answers: Saniah is behind a rock by Lathi's house, Bima is behind Perak's forge, and Eka is behind a pole in front of the village chief's house. All three hide inside Utara Village, and the spots were the same in both playthroughs we checked.

The quest is called Hide and Seek! and it belongs to the In the Jungle content pack. It's a side quest, so the story never forces you to do it, and it's easy to leave it sitting in the log for days. You want it anyway, because the reward is a material Dave's gun upgrades call for.

The quotes come from the two playthroughs we watched, so you'll know you've got the right kid. The order doesn't matter. The route below is the shortest one we saw.

How to start Hide and Seek!

The three kids hang out in front of Bancho Grill, the restaurant you run in the village. Talk to Eka there and pick the Hide-and-seek option. Eka says "Hehe! Alright! You won't find us that easily!" and the screen fades. Your quest log then shows three boxes: Find Eka, Find Saniah and Find Bima.

Game Rant's Nahda Nabiilah wrote that for her, the quest "triggers automatically when I enter their hangout area in front of Bancho Grill". In both videos we watched, the player talked to Eka first. Either way, the starting point is the patch of dirt in front of the grill.

Step 1: find Saniah by Lathi's house

From the grill, head right. Saniah crouches behind a grey boulder with a fern growing out of it, just in front of Lathi's house. That's the stilt hut with the red-and-white patterned gable and pots lined up on the porch. Lathi is the villager who sells cooking ingredients, so you may already know the house from restocking the grill.

Walk up to the rock and interact. Dave says "There you are!" and Saniah gives up. She's the quickest of the three: in The 40+ Gamer's video she's found about four seconds after leaving the grill.

Step 2: find Bima behind Perak's forge

Turn around and head back the other way, past the grill. Bima hides behind Perak's forge, the stone kiln under a thatched lean-to roof, in front of Gesang and Chandra's house.

He's the easiest one to walk past. He doesn't hide behind the kiln itself but crouches behind a small stacked stone figure in the grass, between two bamboo posts to the kiln's left. Watch for an eye icon over Dave's head as you get close. When you check the spot, Dave says "Found it! So this is where it was!" before Bima admits defeat.

He's also the one who stumps people. Under Watermaron's video, one viewer wrote: "Ive been tryna find the last lil sucka for 3 days now!"

Step 3: find Eka at the chief's house

Eka is the farthest away. Go up the main path to the village chief's house, the big carved longhouse at the top of a short flight of wooden steps, with a waterfall off to the left. A huge tree wrapped in a red cloth sash stands to its right.

Eka hides behind a pole in front of the house. In this screenshot, it's the tall wooden post with a dark slit on the left of the path, just below the steps. Check it and Eka says "Tsk, you got me!"

The reward: Red Sunang Stone

Once the third kid is found, a short scene plays back at the grill. Eka says "You found all three of us!" and Saniah adds "That was fun!" Then they hand over a Red Sunang Stone. Game Rant notes "this material is needed to level up Dave's gun".

That's the part worth knowing: if an early gun upgrade says you're missing a Red Sunang Stone, finish this quest first. Our Jungle Gun guide covers what else each tier needs.

If the quest fails

Hide and Seek! has a time limit you won't see on screen: you have to find all three kids on the same day. Game Rant puts it plainly: "Failing to find the kids on the same day will also cause the quest to 'fail'."

The fix is easy. Talk to Eka again to restart, but you'll have to find all three from the beginning, even the ones you already caught. Another commenter under Watermaron's video picked the dive over the kids: "Sorry kids... I didn't want to miss the diving".

So start it at the beginning of a day, before you take the boat out. The whole loop takes about a minute; Watermaron's clip covers it in 75 seconds.

Our take

We'd do this quest the first morning it shows up. It costs a minute, it pays a material the gun upgrades ask for, and nothing about it is hard once you know Bima is behind the stone figure and not the kiln. Leave a kid for tomorrow and the quest fails, so you start over. Our In the Jungle tips have more of these small village jobs.

How we checked this

We haven't played In the Jungle ourselves, so we didn't find these spots in our own save. On October 23, 2026, we stepped through two complete playthroughs of the quest frame by frame. One was Watermaron's 75-second clip: Saniah is found at 0:20, Eka at 0:39 and Bima at 0:58, with the village map open at 0:24. The other was The 40+ Gamer's 47-second guide: Saniah at 0:19, Bima at 0:29 and Eka at 0:37. Both runs found each kid in the same spot, in different in-game days. We matched the landmarks against Game Rant's written guide by Nahda Nabiilah, which names the houses. The screenshots are MINTROCKET's own, from the content pack's Steam page; the dialogue quotes are transcribed from the two videos.
