The Sinking City 2 Achievements: All 23 and the Missables
There's no difficulty achievement in The Sinking City 2. The 3.3% who finish the list get stuck on crates, radios and a New Game Plus.
VerdictPlay the story blind, then do the cleanup in Ex Oblivione with a guide open: crates, radios and the eight NG+ documents all count per playthrough.
The Sinking City 2 achievements are a short list: 23 on Steam, 11 of them hidden, and not one tied to a difficulty setting. Eighteen of them sit above a 35% unlock rate. The ones that stop people are three collection jobs: every Mushroom Jack broadcast, every Emergency Relief Crate, and a set of writings that only show up in New Game Plus.

About the game
The Sinking City 2
Frogwares
Only 3.3% of Steam players had For Her, the unlock-everything achievement, when we checked Steam's global stats on October 23, 2026. Frogwares released the game on August 18, 2026, and the October 6 update (1.1.0) added a Pure New Game option that matters for cleanup runs.

| For Her | Unlock all achievements | No | 3.3% |
The rates split into three groups. Story, weapon and investigation achievements sit between 35% and 85%, the two "one playthrough" collections at about 21%, and the last four near 4%.
The story and weapon achievements: skip worrying
Nine of the 23 come from playing. Five story beats run from Welcome To Arkham! (84.8%) to Timeless Dawn (38.5%), and the four weapon pickups (shotgun, submachine gun, rifle, grenade launcher) are spread along the same path. Sterilizer asks you to beat three nightmares in the hospital, which 40.7% of players have.
Our call: don't plan for any of these. If you finish the game, you'll have almost all of them. Checkpoint Gaming's review put a run at "around 8 hours long if exploring every nook and cranny, and around half that" for the main story alone, so a careful first run covers most of the list.

The eight investigation achievements: pick these up as you go
Eight achievements are named investigations: The Inheritance, The Other Gods, The Red Press, The Siren's Call, The Whisperers, The Vault, The Drowned and The Damned. Steam shows their descriptions, so they're not secret, and their unlock rates (35.4% to 72%) sit close to the story ones.

The rule we'd follow: when the game hands you a mystery off the main path, take it. The Damned, at 35.4%, has the lowest rate of the eight and is the only one below Timeless Dawn's 38.5%.
Mycophile and Behind Every Crate Man: the real missables
These two carry the "in one playthrough" condition, so a missed radio or crate means another run.
Mycophile needs every Mushroom Jack broadcast. You hear them on Tales of Arkham radios; Mobalytics' radio guide tells you to "interact with all radios to listen and 'collect' them". Its chapter list adds up to 10 radios: 1 in A New Day, 3 in The Wake Up Call, 3 in A Sight For Sore Eyes, 2 in Time And Tide and 1 in Cold Comfort.
Behind Every Crate Man... needs every Emergency Relief Crate (E.R.C.), not counting DLC. Each crate opens with an E.R.C. Activator Pen, and pens are often found somewhere else in the chapter, so you open crates out of order. Mobalytics counts 13 crates: none in A New Day, then 4, 3, 3 and 3 across the next four chapters.

The pens are your audit. u/Ultrvlnc told a player whose achievement didn't pop that "there's equal pens to boxes", and another pointed to the usual culprit: "You're probably missing one in Cold Storage like me. I thought I had all of them until I noticed I had an extra pen too." If you're holding a pen, a crate is still shut.
Backtracking within a chapter works. When u/ottoashimself found the printing house alley blocked, the reply was: "Go out the window from the save room and take the ladder down to the exterior loading dock." We couldn't confirm whether you can return to an earlier chapter's area after moving on, so treat each chapter's radios and crates as done or missed when you leave it.
From Oblivion and Ex Oblivione: the New Game Plus achievement
From Oblivion asks you to "read all the writings that weren't there before", and Steam's internal name for it is NGP_LORE. Ex Oblivione is the game's New Game Plus, which Checkpoint Gaming says unlocks "after completion of the game". Mobalytics counts 8 documents that "can only be accessed when playing the New Game Plus", starting in the kitchen of Apartment 6 in The Wake Up Call and ending in the Portal Room in Cold Comfort.
The 1.1.0 patch made that second run friendlier: inventory slot and weapon upgrades "now carry over into Ex Oblivione", and duplicate upgrades turn into Dream Essence. It also added Pure New Game, "a completely fresh playthrough after you have finished the game", if you'd rather start clean.
What Dreams Are Made Of (all Talents, 4.2%) is the other late one. We'd leave it for the same second run, since it has no one-playthrough rule.
Our take
Don't chase anything on your first run except the crates and radios, and even those only if you enjoy the hunt. The cleaner route is the one the rates point to: finish the story, then start Ex Oblivione with a radio and crate checklist open and collect all three missables plus the eight documents in one pass. That second run is where the four rarest achievements on the list get done.
Playing it this week? The Sinking City 2 is a horror game, so it falls under Steam Scream V, which runs until November 2 at 10 AM Pacific. Our Steam Scream Fest 2026 guide tracks dates and which horror games are actually discounted. Its regular US price is $49.99.
How we checked this
We haven't played The Sinking City 2, so none of this is hands-on. The achievement list, hidden flags and internal names come from Steam's official achievement page, and the unlock rates from Steam's global achievement stats, both read on October 23, 2026. Patch details come from Frogwares' 1.1.0 notes on Steam. Radio, crate and document counts come from Mobalytics' three collectible guides (we added up its chapter counts), and the run length from Checkpoint Gaming's review. Player quotes come from two r/TheSinkingCity threads.
We stepped through Frogwares' Game Overview Trailer at 14-second intervals for the screenshots. The stash screen with the E.R.C. Activator Pen is at 2:16, the machine room at 3:40.
