Moonlighter 2 Price Guide: Tiers, Perks and Relic Effects

Sell at the red stamp, drop to Cheap when you want a perk, and never go Overpriced. Plus every Perfect price band by dimension and the Gallery loop that pushes relics past 999 quality.

VerdictPrice every relic at its red Perfect stamp. Use Cheap only when a Shop Perk matters more than the coin, skip Expensive and Overpriced entirely, and do your quality stacking in the backpack before you get home.

The short Moonlighter 2 price guide: set every relic at its red Perfect stamp, drop to Cheap only when you want a Shop Perk sooner, and never touch Overpriced. Shop Perks fire on Cheap and Perfect sales and nothing else, so anything above Perfect costs you perks for a little extra coin. The real money is made earlier, in how you arrange relics in your backpack before you head home.

About the game

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault

Updated 2026-10-13: Rebuilt against the community price list, the 1.0 and Greed & Glory patch notes and Digital Sun's 1.0 launch trailer. Added Perfect price bands for each dimension, the Shop Perk and showcase screens, and the Greed Colosseum risk. Corrected two claims: the price list was last updated in March 2026 (before 1.0, not "through 1.0"), and Sliver and Anacard are characters named in Digital Sun's own patch notes, not player nicknames.

The four price tiers

You set each relic's price by hand, and Jz's community guide sums up the system: there are four levels, "Cheap, Perfect, Expensive, and Overpriced," and "Shop Perks are only granted when relics are sold at Cheap or Perfect prices." A small red stamp on the slider marks the Perfect price, so there's nothing to guess.

TierCustomers buy?Shop Perk?When we'd use it
CheapYesYesEarly runs, when a perk matters more than the coin
PerfectYesYesDefault for everything once your shop is running
ExpensiveUsuallyNoNever. You lose the perk for a small markup
OverpricedNoNoNever

Jz's wording is that customers will buy anything that isn't Overpriced in the usual case, so treat Expensive as a sale that probably goes through but earns no perk. That's why we skip it.

Our Moonlighter 2 tips guide covers the first hours of the shop loop, and the complete Moonlighter 2 guide links every system we've written up.

Perfect stamp prices by rarity

Jz's list records the Perfect stamp price for every relic in all three dimensions. Here are the bands, rounded to the lowest and highest relic in each rarity:

RarityKalinaThe GalleryAeolia
Common21 to 8926 to 9437 to 89
Uncommon115 to 457131 to 462126 to 472
Rare525 to 945536 to 997588 to 982
Epic1,050 to 1,8371,113 to 1,8111,166 to 2,005
Legendary2,205 to 2,7512,258 to 2,6882,205 to 2,971

The top earners on the list are Blob Matryoshka (2,971) and Ceremonial Scissors (2,814) in Aeolia, Moon Fruit (2,751) in Kalina and Fang Taser (2,688) in the Gallery. Aetherium crystals have no listed price.

One caveat matters here. The guide was last updated on March 29, 2026, for the Greed & Glory update, while the game left Early Access on September 2, 2026. The 1.0 patch notes don't mention relic prices, but if a stamp in your game doesn't match the table, trust the stamp. That's the whole point of it.

Shop Perks: what Cheap and Perfect buy you

Shop Perks are the reason the bottom two tiers exist. The 1.0 launch trailer shows three of them on screen at 0:41: Gold Boost (Rare), "All relics sell for 30% more"; Tip Marathon (Common), "Each sale increases your Tip by 25"; and Targeted Tip (Common), where selling a Common relic raises your Tip by 100. The tooltip defines a Tip as the extra coin you get after completing a sale.

Tip perks reward volume, which is the case for selling at Cheap early on. One Steam reviewer with 236 hours described a run where they "got the tip multiplier to hit consistently, made six times what i typically considered a good sell." We'd chase a run like that once Gold Boost or a tip perk is on the table, and price at Perfect the rest of the time.

The showcase screen

When you place a relic, the showcase panel shows the price slider and a breakdown under it. At 0:44 in the launch trailer, a relic set to 700 on a Modest Display Case shows a Quality line of +30% and a total of 910. Four customer-reaction slots on the right are still question marks. Quality feeds straight into what you take home, which is why the backpack stage matters.

Backpack effects: where profit gets multiplied

Relics trigger based on where they sit in your bag. Jz lists the universal rules:

  • Once Placed: fires as soon as the relic goes in the bag.
  • Corner: fires in any corner.
  • Left-Right and Top-Bottom: fire on those edges.
  • Pointed: affects the relic the red arrow points at.
  • Ongoing: "Can activate multiple times during use."
  • Back to Tresna: fires when you finish a run by any method.
  • Next Time: fires the next time you do the action it names.

Each dimension adds its own pair on top:

DimensionEffectsHow they work (per Jz)
KalinaArmor, BurnArmor protects a relic from Burn. A Burned relic is destroyed unless it's Shielded
The GalleryShock, OverchargeShock overcharges a relic. A second Shock destroys it, unless something like the Battery removes the Overcharge first
AeoliaPetrify, AbsorbPetrify turns a relic into an Aetherium crystal of the same rarity. Absorb destroys the named relics and adds their Quality to another item

Aetherium left in your bag at the end of a run is destroyed, so spend it before you leave Aeolia. Our dimensional effects guide covers how these effects play out in combat and loot drops.

Totoro's guide, posted on September 5, three days after 1.0, lays out the method in four steps:

  1. Go to the Gallery and save up batteries and shocking relics.
  2. Get Prototype-158, which gains "6 quality for each overcharged relic" each time it's shocked, and Signal Twin, which "doubles the quality given by shock."
  3. Overcharge as many relics as you can. Disgust Disk (Uncommon) helps early, Corrupted Device (Legendary) later.
  4. Add helpers: Clockwing gains quality whenever you shock, Dream Whistle shocks the relic it points at and takes its quality, Flickering Light reactivates the curse on the pointed relic, and Cursed Lamp gains "50% of the quality of the pointed relic."

Both core pieces are Epics on Jz's list: Prototype-158 stamps at 1,234 and Signal Twin at 1,522. Prototype-158 and Cursed Lamp were new in Greed & Glory, so a guide written before March 2026 won't have the full loop. The trap is the Overcharge rule: a second Shock on an Overcharged relic destroys it, so keep a Battery handy for anything you want to keep.

Greed Colosseum: a risk to your sale value

Greed & Glory added the Greed Colosseum, an optional path after a boss with Legendary relics and bigger rewards. Digital Sun's notes spell out the cost: if you fail, the relics in your backpack "will have their quality halved," including the ones you brought in. Since quality raises the sale total, we'd only enter with a bag you can afford to see lose half its value.

Relic rarities moved in Greed & Glory

Jz's changelog for the March 2026 update lists the rarity changes. A few that change the price you'd expect:

  • Kalina: Moon Fruit went from Uncommon to Legendary, Sand Twins and Dark Alabaster moved up to Legendary, and Twilight Blossom and Cursed Flame dropped from Legendary to Rare.
  • The Gallery: Corrupted Device, Defective Orb, Wicked Smile and Shock Fork went from Rare to Legendary, while Surprise Disk dropped from Legendary to Rare.
  • Aeolia: Coin Charm went from Rare to Legendary, and Dream Catcher moved up to Rare.

If an older guide prices Cursed Flame like a Legendary, that's why it's wrong.

Hidden treasures

Dorce's Steam guide lists 8 hidden-treasure quests:

  • Tresna: "Fleeing Little Rascal," south of where you arrive in the intro.
  • Kalina: Day Realm's and Night Realm's Hidden Treasure.
  • The Gallery: Exhibition Wing's and Treasury Halls' Hidden Treasure, plus "Thief Trophy," solved by hitting the glass vitrine with a specific weapon.
  • Aeolia: Zephyr Fields' and Howling Harbor's Hidden Treasure.

Two of them are tied to characters. Treasury Halls must be the event with Sliver, and Howling Harbor must be the room with Anacard. Both are named in Digital Sun's own notes ("Sliver's Perks Set," "Nou & Anacard's Perks Set"), so you'll see those names in game. A commenter on the guide said those two were "doing my nut, but this guide had them done immediately on the first try." Dorce last updated the guide on June 3, 2026, so 1.0's new quests aren't covered.

Common mistakes

Pricing at Expensive for a bit more coin. You lose the Shop Perk on that sale. Perfect is the ceiling we'd use.

Ignoring the stamp in favor of an old list. Rarities moved in March 2026, and a list can lag a patch. The stamp in your game is current.

Shocking an Overcharged relic you meant to sell. It's destroyed. Clear the Overcharge with a Battery first.

Leaving Aetherium in the bag. It's destroyed at the end of the run. Absorb it into something first.

Taking a stacked bag into the Colosseum. Fail and every relic in it loses half its quality.

Digital Sun's 1.0 launch trailer shows the backpack burning through Kalina relics at 0:21, the Shop Perk picker at 0:41, the showcase price screen at 0:44 and a full shop floor at 0:45.

What players say about selling

Opinions on the shop side split. One reviewer praised how Digital Sun handled "matching upgrade prices to the increased profitability of later runs." Another, at 27 hours, felt "the loop feels unsatisfying at times (bag management, store selling, and combat upgrades)." On Steam the game sits at Very Positive, with 3,419 of 4,201 reviews positive as of October 13, 2026.

Our take

We'd keep pricing boring: Perfect on everything, Cheap only while you're hunting a specific Shop Perk early. The time worth spending is in the backpack. A relic you push from 10 quality to several hundred in the Gallery is worth more than any amount of slider tweaking at the counter. If you're short on time, learn the Gallery loop first, because its two core relics are documented and the method fits on one screen.

How we checked this

  • On 2026-10-13 we read Jz's "Perfect Price (Greed & Glory)" guide (last updated March 29, 2026) for the tier rules, effect definitions, every Perfect stamp price and the rarity changelog.
  • We read Totoro's 999+ quality guide (posted September 5, 2026) and Dorce's hidden-treasure guide (updated June 3, 2026) on the Steam Community.
  • We read Digital Sun's Steam notes for Greed & Glory (March 11, 2026), the 1.0 release (September 2, 2026) and 1.0 Hotfix 1, and found no relic price changes listed for 1.0.
  • We watched the 1.0 launch trailer on Digital Sun Games' YouTube channel and took frames at 0:21, 0:41, 0:44 and 0:45.
  • Price and review totals come from Steam's store and review APIs on 2026-10-13. We didn't re-check stamps in a live 1.0 save.

Frequently asked questions

How does pricing work in Moonlighter 2? You set each relic's price by hand. There are four tiers: Cheap, Perfect, Expensive and Overpriced. Shop Perks are granted only on Cheap or Perfect sales, and a small red stamp marks the Perfect price.

What is the Perfect price in Moonlighter 2? It's the tier marked by the red stamp on the price slider. Jz's community list puts Perfect prices at 21 to 94 coins for Common relics and 2,205 to 2,971 for Legendary ones, as of the Greed & Glory update in March 2026.

How do I get 999 quality relics in Moonlighter 2? Go to the Gallery and pair Prototype-158 with Signal Twin. Prototype-158 gains 6 quality per overcharged relic each time it's shocked, and Signal Twin doubles the quality shocks give, so overcharge as many relics around it as you can.

How many hidden treasures are in Moonlighter 2? Dorce's Steam guide lists 8 hidden-treasure quests: one in Tresna, two in Kalina, three in the Gallery and two in Aeolia. The guide was last updated on June 3, 2026, before the 1.0 release.

What are the three dimensions in Moonlighter 2? Kalina, the Gallery and Aeolia. Kalina relics use Armor and Burn, the Gallery uses Shock and Overcharge, and Aeolia uses Petrify and Absorb.

Does backpack placement matter in Moonlighter 2? Yes. Corner, Left-Right, Top-Bottom and Pointed effects fire based on where a relic sits in the bag, so the same relic can do nothing in one slot and buff a neighbor in another.
