ArcheAge Chronicles Release Date: Early Access Opens Nov 3

ArcheAge Chronicles unlock time in your region

XLGAMES set the time in its October 27 Steam post: "November 3, 2026, at 3:00 PM PST". Daylight saving ended in the US on November 1, so that really is Pacific Standard Time. In other zones:

The PT, ET, UTC and UK times come from games.gg and XLGAMES' own post, and RPG Site's copy of the announcement also gives 3:00 PM PST; we worked out the Europe, Korea and Sydney rows from 23:00 UTC. Pre-purchase is open now on Steam. On November 1 the store page read "plans to unlock in approximately 2 days".

Price, editions and the pre-order costume

There is one edition on Steam at $29.99. In his six-minute pricing video, executive producer Yongjin Ham says it is "a buy-to-play model" with "no recurring subscription fee", and puts the Korean price at 36,000 won. XLGAMES' announcement, as RPG Site reprints it, adds that regional prices vary outside North America. The Steam FAQ warns the price "may change at full release", with notice in advance, so it can still move.

Pre-orders come with the Dawn Pioneer Set, a costume for one class of your choice that you claim in game once Early Access starts. One set per purchase, so pick the class you'll actually main.

What $29.99 gets you in Early Access

Three regions of Auroria: Diamond Shores, Gylden Ruins and Astron Plains. The Next Fest demo only showed part of Diamond Shores; Ham's October 29 letter says Early Access is "more than 60 areas, roughly twenty times the size of the demo". The four classes are Warrior, Ranger, Mage and Berserker, each with two weapons, so eight weapon styles in all. Around that sit dungeons, raids, PvP, housing, crafting, trading, and company and guild activities.

Ham's video claims each region holds "more than 10 hours" on the main quests alone, "over 30 hours across all three regions". Side quests come on top, and those figures are the developer's estimate.

What's missing matters as much. Every class is still locked to one gender, and every class has two weapons where three are planned. The fix starts small: the first update, planned for December, adds a female Warrior and gives the Warrior a third weapon, the Gladius. Other classes follow one at a time, with the goal of no gender locks "by full release". XLGAMES says it will share a roadmap soon after launch.

Platforms: PC only tonight

Steam lists Windows only. The official site sells the game on Steam and offers just wishlist buttons for Epic Games, PlayStation and Xbox, so searches for a PS5 or Xbox release date have no answer yet; games.gg also found no console date. The Steam page shows English, Korean and both Chinese scripts for text and subtitles, but full voice audio only in Korean.

It isn't a light install. The minimum spec is an Intel Core i5-10400 or Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB of RAM, an RTX 2060 SUPER or RX 6600 with 8 GB, and 100 GB on an SSD, and that only targets 30 FPS at 1080p on Low with upscaling. For 60 FPS on High, Steam recommends 32 GB of RAM and an RTX 4060 Ti 16GB or RX 7700 XT.

Launch night: black screens and servers

Black screens came first on XLGAMES' list of demo complaints. Its October 21 notice said loading could take five to ten minutes and asked players to wait "up to 10 minutes without closing the game". For Early Access, a shader compilation screen now shows on first launch, so the wait is visible. Expect it the first time you boot, and don't kill the process at minute three.

Your server region is now picked from your location. XLGAMES added a Brazil server on October 23, during demo week, and its October 29 letter lists Singapore too. That October 23 notice said the Brazil server was listed under NA "for the time being", even though it is physically in Brazil; the October 29 letter says region labels on the server screen are now clearer. Parties now stay together across Peace and Conflict Channels, which answers a demo complaint about party members who couldn't find each other.

The demo itself did well. When Next Fest closed on October 26, it was fifth on Steam's Most Played Demos list, per games.gg and XLGAMES' announcement as reprinted by RPG Site, and XLGAMES took it down the same day. A day before WoW: Forever

Blizzard's World of Warcraft: Forever launches November 4, one day later. On r/ArcheageChronicles, the thread announcing the date opened with "A day before WoW Forever. Seems like a terrible idea." One reply took the other view: "most people will skip it and only the people who actually want to play the game, will."

Our take

$29.99 with no subscription is a fair price for an MMO with 30-plus hours of main quests on day one. But you are paying for a version XLGAMES itself calls unfinished. Ham's letter says the "core feel of combat" was deliberately not rushed and now has its own team. If you played the demo and liked how fights felt, buy tonight and get the costume. If combat or the gender-locked classes put you off, December's update and the roadmap will tell you more than launch night can. How we checked this

We haven't played ArcheAge Chronicles; the demo and the September network test passed without us. On November 1, 2026 we read the Steam store page (Early Access FAQ, price, languages, system requirements) and XLGAMES' Steam posts from October 19, 21, 23, 27 and 29, read the captions of Yongjin Ham's October 21 pricing video, and checked the official site's store links.
