Risk of Rain 2 Items List: Every Item and What It Does
Rankings tell you what to want. This is the lookup table for what you just picked up, all 211 items and 46 equipment.
VerdictUse it to identify an item, not to plan a run. If the pool feels too diluted, switch expansions off at the lobby: that shrinks it by up to 109 items.
This Risk of Rain 2 items list has every tiered item in the game as of October 26, 2026: 211 items across ten rarity tiers, plus 46 equipment, each with what it does and which DLC adds it. 102 of the 211 are base-game items. The other 109 only show up if you own the matching expansion and leave it switched on when the run starts, which is also the easiest way to shrink a bloated item pool.

If you want rankings rather than a reference, the Risk of Rain 2 item tier list is the page for that. This one answers "what does that thing I just picked up do?" and "how many of these are there?", tier by tier.

How many items are in Risk of Rain 2?
There are 211 items in the Risk of Rain 2 Wiki's ten tier tables and 46 equipment (30 regular, 5 Lunar, 11 Elite). The wiki's own intro line says "232 items and 46 equipment"; its tier tables add up to 211, so that's the number we list and count here. Untiered items, the hidden markers like Dio's Best Friend (Consumed), are left out because you never pick one up as loot.
| Tier | Color | Items | Base game | From DLC | Where they come from |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Common | White | 36 | 25 | 11 | Chests, printers, most early drops |
| Uncommon | Green | 42 | 26 | 16 | Chests, at lower odds than whites |
| Legendary | Red | 36 | 22 | 14 | Chests (about 1% from a Small Chest), Legendary Chests |
| Boss | Yellow | 25 | 15 | 10 | Teleporter bosses and a few special sources, never chests |
| Lunar | Blue | 20 | 14 | 6 | Lunar Pods and the Bazaar Between Time, for Lunar Coins |
| Void | Purple | 14 | 0 | 14 | Survivors of the Void only; corrupts a paired item |
| Meal | 5 | 0 | 5 | Cooked at the Wandering CHEF (Alloyed Collective) | |
| Hallowed | 11 | 0 | 11 | Cleansing Hexes at a Hallowed Shrine (Hallowed Concepts) | |
| Hex | 14 | 0 | 14 | Concept Reliquary, Hallowed Shrine, Anima Harvester | |
| N'tormat Pages | 8 | 0 | 8 | The Wake, Shrine of Compulsion, N'kuhana Trials |
By expansion, the 109 DLC items split like this: Survivors of the Void adds 35, Seekers of the Storm 17, Alloyed Collective 21 and Hallowed Concepts 36. Hallowed Concepts is the newest, released October 8, 2026, and it's the reason three of the ten tiers (Hallowed, Hex and Pages) exist at all.

Can you turn DLC items off?
Yes, by expansion rather than item by item. Every DLC entry on the wiki carries the same note: it "is only available if the DLC is enabled when starting a run." That's the lever players use when the pool feels too wide. On a r/riskofrain thread about weak DLC item stacking, the top reply blamed pool size: "sometimes i get to like 25 items before getting a single copy," wrote u/Droideaka. Another player pointed to the workaround: "technically you can do that by turning DLCs off and on."
We'd do exactly that for a stacking run: base game plus Survivors of the Void keeps 137 tiered items and the Void tier's trades, and drops the 74 items the three newer expansions add. Switching off a DLC also removes its survivors for that run, so check the Risk of Rain 2 survivors guide before you untick one.

Common items (white): all 36
Whites are the items you'll see most, so they're the ones you end up holding in stacks. Our call: Tougher Times, Lens-Maker's Glasses, Soldier's Syringe and Paul's Goat Hoof are the four to take every time; the rest depend on the survivor. A spare white is also the cheapest thing to feed a printer, which the interactables guide covers.

Legendary items (red): all 36

Brilliant Behemoth, Ceremonial Dagger and 57 Leaf Clover are the reds we'd never leave behind. Boss items (yellow): all 25
Yellow items "cannot be obtained from chests," per the wiki. Most drop from a specific Teleporter boss, and only if that boss was the Teleporter boss on the stage, so a Titanic Knurl needs a Stone Titan. 8 of the 25 don't come from Teleporter bosses at all: they come from places like the Cleansing Pool, Bulwark's Ambry or the Scrapper. If you're hunting one yellow in particular, start with the bosses guide to learn which boss you need to see.

Lunar items (blue): all 20
Lunar items trade a big upside for a real cost, and chests never drop them. The wiki: "the only ways to obtain them are from Lunar Pods found rarely throughout environments or from the Bazaar Between Time." Both cost Lunar Coins, not gold, and Lunar items can't be scrapped. Our rule: only buy a Lunar when you can name the problem it solves and the drawback your build can absorb. Shaped Glass and Gesture of the Drowned are the usual suspects. If the run is headed for the Moon, the Mithrix guide covers the fight you're building for.

Void items (purple): all 14
Void items are Survivors of the Void's tier, and every one has a catch written into its last line: "Corrupts all" of a normal item. Pick up a Needletick and every Tri-Tip Dagger you hold turns into Needletick. That makes a Void Cradle a choice between two inventories, not an upgrade. Safer Spaces over Tougher Times is the swap we'd make most often. More on the corruption rule sits in the items and artifacts guide.
| Item | What it does |
|---|---|
| Benthic Bloom (SotV) | Upgrades 3 (+3 per stack) random items to items of the next higher rarity at the start of each stage. Corrupts all 57 Leaf Clovers. |
| Encrusted Key (SotV) | A hidden cache containing an item (60%/30%/10%) will appear in a random location on each stage. Opening the cache consumes this item. Corrupts all Rusted Keys. |
| Lost Seer's Lenses (SotV) | Your attacks have a 0.5% (+0.5% per stack) chance to instantly kill a non-Boss enemy. Corrupts all Lens-Maker's Glasses. |
| Lysate Cell (SotV) | Add +1 (+1 per stack) charge of your Special skill. Reduces Special skill cooldown by 33%. Corrupts all Fuel Cells. |
| Needletick (SotV) | 10% (+10% per stack) chance to collapse an enemy for 400% base damage. Corrupts all Tri-Tip Daggers. |
| Newly Hatched Zoea (SotV) | Every 60 (-50% per stack) seconds, gain a random Void ally. Can have up to 1 (+1 per stack) allies at a time. Corrupts all yellow items. |
| Plasma Shrimp (SotV) | Gain a shield equal to 10% of your maximum health. While you have a shield, hitting an enemy fires a missile that deals 40% (+40% per stack) TOTAL damage. Corrupts all AtG Missile Mk. 1 s. |
| Pluripotent Larva (SotV) | Upon death, this item will be consumed and you will return to life with 3 seconds of invulnerability, and all of your items that can be corrupted will be. Corrupts all Dio's Best Friends. |
| Polylute (SotV) | 25% chance to fire lightning for 60% TOTAL damage up to 3 (+3 per stack) times. Corrupts all Ukuleles. |
| Safer Spaces (SotV) | Blocks incoming damage once. Recharges after 13.5 seconds (-10% per stack) Corrupts all Tougher Times. |
| Singularity Band (SotV) | Hits that deal more than 400% damage also fire a black hole that draws enemies within 15 m into its center. Lasts 5 seconds before collapsing, dealing 100% (+100% per stack) TOTAL damage. Recharges every 20 seconds. Corrupts all Runald's and Kjaro's Bands. |
| Tentabauble (SotV) | 5% (+5% per stack) chance on hit to root enemies for 1 s (+1 s per stack). Corrupts all Chronobaubles. |
| Voidsent Flame (SotV) | Upon hitting an enemy at full health, spawn a lava pillar in a 12 m (+2.4 m per stack) radius for 260% (+156% per stack) base damage. Corrupts all Will-o'-the-wisps. |

GODEEPER: Hexes are the strangest tier on this page: pure downside, carried on purpose. Here's which ones to accept at the pickup prompt. Risk of Rain 2 Hexes: All 14 Ranked by Which to Pick Up →
Meal items: all 5
Meals came with Alloyed Collective and are "exclusively obtained by combining items at the Wandering CHEF interactable," per the wiki. You trade in ingredients, so a Meal is never a free pickup. Hearty Stew is the one we'd cook first on a survivor who spends time at full health.
| Item | What it does |
|---|---|
| Hearty Stew (AC) | Increases regeneration by +2.5 (+2.5 per stack) HP/s. At full health, your regeneration is added to your base damage. |
| Quick Fix (AC) | Increases bonus health and regeneration gains by 50% (+15% per stack). Does not affect bonuses from leveling up. |
| Sautéed Worms (AC) | On hit, 10% chance to summon a spectral wyrm that seeks out and damages and ignites enemies for 500% (+500% per stack) TOTAL damage per second for 10 seconds. |
| Seared Steak (AC) | Increases maximum health by 50 (+50 per stack), plus an additional 5% (+5% per stack) of your max health. |
| Ultimate Meal (AC) | At full health, all random effects are rolled +2 (+2 per stack) extra times for a better outcome. |
Hallowed items: all 11
Hallowed items come from Hallowed Concepts. The main route is the Hand of Life at a Hallowed Shrine, exchanging at least 5 Hexes; finishing The Wake without losing a Soul Conduit is the other. Vengeful Spirit and Sanguine Chalice top our Hallowed rankings in the item tier list, and the Offering of the Collective guide covers the other big trade the newer DLCs ask for.
| Item | What it does |
|---|---|
| Corpse Lily (HC) | Release an expanding cloud of noxious fumes during the Teleporter event that periodically inflicts stacking Blight for up to 180% (+60% per team's stack) damage per second, averaged among team members. The cloud expands as the event progresses, growing in size by 1% (+0.15% per stack) per 1% event charge. |
| Dream Crucible (HC) | When another item goes on cooldown or is consumed, 10% (+10% per stack) chance for this item to go on cooldown or be consumed instead. Dream Crucible cannot restore itself. At the start of each stage, it regenerates. |
| Earthbound Vessel (HC) | Gain 3 (+2 per stack) extra jumps that recharge after being grounded for 5 seconds (-25% per stack). Each unused jump increases armor by 5. |
| Infernal Mark (HC) | After hitting an enemy with skills 10 times, stun and soul-brand that enemy for 5 s (+5 s per stack). Soul-branded enemies draw attention and have friendly fire enabled. Once soul-branding wears off, the target cannot be soul-branded again for 15 seconds. |
| Nightmare Demon (HC) | 20% chance on hit to haunt an enemy with a Nightmare Demon. Damaging a haunted enemy charges the demon. Upon reaching a charge of 1600% damage, hitting the demon with any skill causes it to explode for 600% (+600% per stack) base damage and activate all your On-kill effects. |
| Ritual Helmet (HC) | Sprinting grants a charge for every 10 m (-10% per stack) traveled, up to a maximum of 10 charges. Once fully charged, move 10% faster and sprinting grants an additional an additional 5% move speed per second, conjuring a phantasmal skull. When the skull collides with an enemy, it consumes a charge and deals 300% (+100% per stack) base damage, scaling with movement speed. |
| Sanguine Chalice (HC) | 10% chance to bleed an enemy. Your bleed damage heals you for 0.5% (+0.5% per stack) of your maximum health per tick. |
| Stained Scimitar (HC) | Gain 1% (+1% per stack) lifesteal. Healing 10% of your maximum health spawns an orbiting ghost blade for 5 s, up to a maximum of 6 (+6 per stack). Each blade deals 100% damage on impact, plus an additional 240% as bleed damage. Activating your Secondary skill fires all blades forward. |
| Totem of Avarice (HC) | Hits that deal more than 400% damage also turn enemies within 5 m (+5 m per stack) into gold for 5 s. Enemies turned into gold are immobilized and drop +50% (+50% per stack) more gold in the form of treasures. Recharges every 10 seconds. |
| Vengeful Spirit (HC) | Gain 1 (+1 per stack) protective spirit that absorbs 50% of all damage taken. If the spirit is killed, become vengeful for the rest of the stage, gaining a 40% increased attack speed and 20% reduced skill cooldowns for 15 s (+15 s per stack) whenever an ally is killed. |
| Vile Censer (HC) | Gain a 10% chance on hit to stun. Hitting a stunned target with a skill releases tendrils of black smoke, dealing 200% (+100% per stack) damage and chaining to all other enemies within 10 m (+5 m per stack). This effect can repeat. |
Hexes: all 14
Hexes "have no upside," the wiki says; you carry them to cleanse them for Hallowed items, and the game asks you to confirm every pickup. Each one below links to our Hex ranking, which sorts them by whether to say yes at that prompt.

Can be cleansed at a Hallowed Shrine to reveal a Hallowed item. |
| Hex of Rain (HC) | Increases Difficulty by 25% (+25% per stack). Can be cleansed at a Hallowed Shrine to reveal a Hallowed item. |
| Hex of Strife (HC) | The Teleporter receives 1 (+1 per stack) Shrine of the Mountain effects, without the extra rewards. Can be cleansed at a Hallowed Shrine to reveal a Hallowed item. |
N'tormat Pages: all 8
Pages are pages of The N'tormat, a Key Item. Each unlocks a ritual you cast with the activate-key-item button; casting consumes the Page, and consumed Pages come back at the start of every stage. They come from The Wake, Shrine of Compulsion objectives and N'kuhana Trials, which is why each row links to the N'kuhana Trials guide. The Shredded Page is in the count and, per the wiki, does nothing.
| Item | What it does |
|---|---|
| Clarity (HC) | Unlocks the ritual Clarity within the N'tormat. Refreshes your skill and equipment cooldowns on use, and grants a 75% reduction for 10 seconds. |
| Dark Alchemy (HC) | Unlocks the ritual Dark Alchemy within the N'tormat. Downgrades a targeted item to a lesser tier, while also dropping an extra copy. |
| Fanatic Summons (HC) | Unlocks the ritual Fanatic Summons within the N'tormat. Summons 10 Lynx Pups, who rapidly bite foes for 100% damage. |
| Purify (HC) | Unlocks the ritual Purify within the N'tormat. Cut the max health of nearby enemies by 50%. Bosses and strong enemies resist this effect. |
| Reincarnation (HC) | Unlocks the ritual Reincarnation within the N'tormat. Kills you. If brought to the right location, allows you to travel to other locations. |
| Shadow Cloak (HC) | Unlocks the ritual Shadow Cloak within the N'tormat. Cloak yourself and your allies in shadow for 30 seconds, becoming invisible, gaining 40% movement speed, and 100 armor. |
| Shredded Page (HC) | Does nothing. What did you think would happen? |
| Warp Gate (HC) | Unlocks the ritual Warp Gate within the N'tormat. Conjures a Warp Gate that can be used to explosively teleport to anywhere you can see. On arrival, spatial backlash damages enemies for 150% to 15000% and applies stacks of Frost based on distance traveled. Limited to 4 uses per stage. |
Equipment: all 30
Equipment is the active slot: you press the button, it fires, and it goes on the cooldown listed below. Elite equipment: all 11
Elite equipment is what makes an enemy Elite. The wiki lists a "rare (1/4000 or 0.025%) drop" from the matching Elite monster, raised by Luck, and Voidtouched is the only Elite type whose aspect you can't get. Don't plan a run around one; treat it as a lottery ticket that sometimes pays.
| Equipment | Elite type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Aurelionite's Blessing (SotS) | Gilded | Become an aspect of radiance. |
| Her Biting Embrace | Glacial | Become an aspect of ice. |
| His Reassurance (SotV) | Mending | Become an aspect of earth. |
| His Spiteful Boon (SotS) | Twisted | Become an aspect of spite. |
| Ifrit's Distinction | Blazing | Become an aspect of fire. |
| N'kuhana's Rebirth (HC) | Aspect of Death | Become an Aspect of Death. |
| N'kuhana's Retort | Malachite | Become an aspect of corruption. |
| Of One Mind (AC) | Collective | Become an aspect of the Collective. |
| Shared Design | Perfected | Become an aspect of perfection. |
| Silence Between Two Strikes | Overloading | Become an aspect of lightning. |
| Spectral Circlet | Celestine | Become an aspect of incorporeality. |
What isn't on this list
Two kinds of copies aren't separate items. With Alloyed Collective on, you can get temporary versions of passive items that, per the wiki, persist "for 80 seconds" per stack. With Hallowed Concepts on, Ethereal versions last until the end of the stage, and a cleared Trial lets you keep one. Neither adds a row to the tables above. Neither do the untiered internal items or the artifacts, which change the rules of a run rather than your inventory; those are in the items and artifacts guide.
Our take
Use this page to identify an item, then close it. 211 entries is too many to plan around, and the game rarely hands you the item you're hoping for. Take the four white staples, give greens a job, buy Lunars only on purpose and accept that yellows depend on which boss spawns. If the pool feels too diluted, switch expansions off at the lobby. That changes more about your item luck than any single pick on this list. When you're ready to rank picks, go to the best survivors list and the tier list, and use this page to look things up.
How we checked this
On October 26, 2026 we pulled the Risk of Rain 2 Wiki's Items page and copied every row of its ten tier tables and three equipment tables, with the DLC tag the wiki puts on each. Then we counted them ourselves: 36 + 42 + 36 + 25 + 20 + 14 + 5 + 11 + 14 + 8 = 211 items, and 30 + 5 + 11 = 46 equipment. Our item total doesn't match the 232 in the wiki's intro, and the tables are what we trust. Each tier table's own count line ("There are 36 Common items," and so on) matches our row count. The effect text is the wiki's, cleaned for spacing; the cooldowns, the "Drops from" column and the Elite types come from the same tables. We didn't play-test any item for this page.
We also watched Gearbox's 1.0 Update Trailer and took the two in-article frames and the hero image from it at 0:43, 0:55 and 0:58. A "POWERFUL NEW ITEMS" title card shows at 0:34. Player quotes come from a r/riskofrain thread posted October 15, 2026.
